About Elizabeth Lynn
Welcome to my Canvas!

Elizabeth Lynn is a self-taught watercolor artist whose work draws inspiration from a family legacy of creativity.
In 2019, I began my journey into painting after purchasing my first paintbrush and paint palette while launching my adult children into the world. As an empty nester, painting has become my way of filling quiet spaces and reconnecting with cherished memories of the past. This new path became a meaningful exploration of creativity and self-expression. The name “Elizabeth Lynn” honors my mother, Lynn, and resonates deeply with my artistic journey, reflecting her influence and the values she instilled in me. Embracing this name has allowed me to celebrate her legacy while discovering my unique style as an artist.
Using soft, muted watercolor tones, I seek to create vintage-inspired art that brings a sense of nostalgia and timeless beauty to life.
I love capturing the charm of timeless moments- whether it’s the beauty of an old teacup, the backyard of a childhood home, or the softness of wildflowers. I strive to celebrate the simple joys we hold close to our hearts capturing the beauty of the world around me while honoring the enduring legacy of artistry passed down from my mom.
I have been a primary teacher for over twenty years, and I have had the joy of raising our four children with my husband in the Chicago suburbs. When I’m not painting, you can find me in the classroom, spending quality time with family and friends, volunteering, boating on Lake Michigan, gardening, or enjoying a game of pickleball. I hope you feel a sense of inspiration, whether it comes from my art or whatever stirs your soul. Remember to never stop learning, growing, and seeking inspiration in all that you do.
