Question 1

What can you paint?

Accepted Answer

I specialize in watercolor home portraits, meaningful heirlooms, cottages, storefronts, and nostalgic places that hold special memories. My standard home portrait includes painting the home as shown in the reference photos. Requests for additional people, seasonal changes, interior scenes, or custom elements not visible in the photos are quoted separately as custom illustration work.

Question 2

What size paintings do you offer?

Accepted Answer

Most original watercolor commissions are created in 5x7 and 8x10 sizes, which are perfect for framing and displaying in your home. Larger sizes may be available upon request depending on the project.

Question 3

How do I order a commission?

Accepted Answer

To begin, simply fill out the commission inquiry form with details about your project and upload a clear photo of the home or place you would like painted. I’ll reach out to discuss availability, timing, and next steps.

What photos work best?

Bright, clear photos with natural lighting work best. Front-facing images with minimal obstructions help capture the most detail. If you have multiple photos, you are welcome to send them so I can reference different elements.

Question 5

How long does a commission take?

Accepted Answer

Turnaround times vary depending on the season and current commission schedule. Most paintings are completed within several weeks, but holiday seasons may require additional time. I recommend booking early for gifts and special occasions.

Question 6

Is the artwork framed?

Accepted Answer

Original paintings are shipped unframed unless otherwise discussed. This allows you to choose a frame that best fits your home and style.

Question 7

How do I secure a commission piece?

Accepted Answer

Once your commission is confirmed, a 20% deposit is required to reserve your spot. The remaining balance will be due before your painting ships. Shipping is included.

I would be honored to create a meaningful watercolor piece for your home or someone you love. Please fill out the inquiry form to begin the process.
